Lassen Volcanic National Park takes its name after Lassen Peak, the largest plug dome volcano in the world. It is also the southernmost volcano in the Cascade Range. In addition to plug domes, the other three types of volcanoes can be found here: shield, cinder cone, and stratovolcano. Major eruptions last occurred between 1914 and 1917.
