Saguaro National Park obtained its name from the large cactus native to the Sonoran Desert. Almost like a tree, these cactuses grow to around 40 feet tall. The park is divided into east and west sections, 30 miles apart on opposite sides of Tucson. To the west is the Tucson Mountain District, and to the east is the Rincon Mountain District.
